About me
I’ll introduce myself briefly and in my own way, since this is my personal website.
My name is Alejandro Maciá. Alex or Maciá, depending on the circle.
I have always loved music and have always been keenly interested in diving deeper into its various aspects—both in musical practice and composition, as well as how we, as people, understand music and sound.
When I was nine years old, I entered the conservatory with the oboe as my instrument. That fueled my interest even more and provided me with tools that, back then, allowed me to develop reasonably well as a person and, nowadays, allow me to thrive professionally as well.
At the same time, I’ve also always had a great love for video games. As a kid, a whole new world opened up to me when I discovered The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, even though I couldn’t understand anything because it was in English. The same thing happened with Pokémon or Final Fantasy X, one of the titles I hold closest to my heart.
I especially remember enjoying and being amazed by the different video game soundtracks, and I also remember thinking that clearly someone out there was composing that music—but it just didn’t cross my mind as a real career option for me.
As I progressed in my studies, besides perfecting my technique as an instrumentalist, I also got into the world of composition and music analysis, both classical and video games. At some point, almost by chance, I opened the door to video game composition and production.
Today, I work full-time composing and producing music for video games of all kinds from Gametrack, my own studio, in addition to working as a musician on specific projects and in the Ana Sánchez-Cano ensemble.
I also offer classes or sessions for anyone who wants to get started in the world of video game composition, production, or music theory topics. In fact, you can book your lesson slot right here on this website.
As if that weren’t enough, I also run my YouTube channel. While it’s not exactly the most mainstream thing in the world, it’s something I enjoy updating to talk about my work. I feel that, besides leaving my soundtracks out there for everyone to listen to, this is a nice legacy that will remain on the internet… forever?

However, if you are planning on having regular lessons, we can book a specific slot and arrange discounted packs.
Lessons will take place via Microsoft Teams due to the excellent audio transmission quality it offers (you don’t need to have the program installed). The only requirement is a good internet connection.
